Organisers Comments

Thank you to all the competitors who turned up and took part. It was very pleasing to have about 40 competitors made up of experienced orienteers from a number of different clubs and quite a lot of newcomers trying out the sport for the first time. Considering all of the rain in the week before the event, the weather on the day was kind to us, being mostly sunny periods with the odd threat of a very light shower. But the rain had made some of the marshes a tricky proposition which had caught a few competitors out on the Light Green course. Thank you to those competitors who helped their fellow competitors out of a sticky situation!!!

Comments:

Josh and Wendy had confident runs to lead on Yellow and Orange respectively. On Light Green, the splits reveal a very close contest between the top 3 M21s with Michael taking an early lead, before Matt took over but was then overhauled by Andrew. It came down to time at the 'spectator control' #15 as new SROC Street League Newcomer prize-winner Matt was out-newcomered by Andrew.

Thanks to Pete Kidd for planning, Lisa KIdd organising, Mark Seddon and Paul Booth control placement and competitiors who helped and collected controls

Cheers

Paul
