Blisco Regional Event - (Updated 18/05/10)

E-mail Print

With clouds on the peaks that promised to lift, a trove of SELOC-ites converged on the Langdale Valley for the LOC Regional Pike O’Blisco event. An early registration for this event was required (depending on your start time) due to the start on most of the courses being some 1.5km from registration and about 350m up the path to the Blisco summit. The trek to the start made for a good warm up though.

With plenty of courses on offer we had entrants in many categories.

Bolton Primary Inter School Orienteering Competition - Moses Gate, Bolton

E-mail Print

Below are the results for the Bolton Primary Inter-school Orienteering Competition at Moses Gate, Bolton.

The reason the results are described as B5 and G3 are because the software will not accept mixed sex teams or mixed age teams so B5 and G3 were used as default fields. Runners who were unable to find control 12 have been reinstated because it was covered up. It hasn't made any difference to the winners in either group though.

SELOC Introductory Event - Queens Park, Bolton

E-mail Print

With a slightly late start the event in Queens Park took in as much as the park had to offer. Two of the normal Yellow and Orange courses but also a more complicated Norwegian course that tested your map reading skills a little more by drip feeding the controls to you as you get to each point and the map only actually having the first control marked on it.

Results are available for this event now....
