SELOC welcomes novice and elite orienteers and has a membership area concentrated around Bolton, Wigan, Oldham, Bury & Rochdale. We are one of the oldest established clubs in the sport, having been formed in 1966 and were one of the founder members of the North West Orienteering Association (NWOA). Both are members of British Orienteering, the governing body of the sport in the UK.
The club puts on a series of local introductory events throughout the year, and at least one larger event with a wider range of courses. SELOC aims to improve your skills by offering coaching at the SELOC Club Night -
A SELOC Social Night is held on the first Thursday of every month from about 9.00 p.m. onwards, at the Astley Bridge Bowling Club, BL1 7JH (off the A666, 0.5km North of Bolton ring road).
