DESCRIPTION:Updated 8th June 2019: Final Details are now available here\n  \nThis event is incorporating the 2019 NWOA Sprint Championships and is a North West Urban League event \n\n\n\nDate:\nSunday 16 June 2019\n\n\nLocation:\nHORWICH\, near BOLTON\, on NW edge of Greater Manchester\n\n\nFormat:\nA double header sprint race comprising Prologue race with interval starts\, followed by a Final with trademark mass start in front of the Festival crowds\, guaranteeing exciting head-to-head racing in complex terrain\n\n\nTerrain:\nPrologue in Queen’s Park and the grounds of Bolton School\, about 5 miles from Horwich town – which is a change from the 2018 event. \nFinal in mixed urban terrain of Horwich town centre\n\n\nCourses:\nStandard Urban League classes \nPersons under the age of 12 on the day of the event will be restricted to entering the Young Juniors courses as there are roads with limited traffic\n\n\nTimings:\nPrologue starts 10.00 – 11.00 \nMass start for Final at around 13.35\n\n\nMaps:\nPrologue area\, by Stephen Richards of SELOC at 1:4000 \nFinal area by Peel Land Surveys at 1:4000 \nBoth with minor updates since last full survey\n\n\nEntries:\nPre-enter online via http://www.fabian4.co.uk before 23:59 on Sunday 9/6/19 \nLimited Entries on the Day available while map stocks last\n\n\nEntry fees:\nSeniors – £9.00 pre-entry\, £11.00 on the day (+£2.00 surcharge for non-BOF members) \nJuniors (under 21) & students – £4.00 pre-entry\, £5.00 on the day\n\n\nPunching system:\nSI Air contactless (SIAC) punching will be enabled for both races. Competitors who do not have their own SIAC card will be able to hire one for £3.54 (the cost paid by the event)\, but standard SI cards will work as normal for those who do not wish to use a SIAC card. Hired SIAC cards must be pre-ordered via Fabian4. Standard cards also available for hire at £1 each.\n\n\nNWOA Sprint Championships:\nMedals will be awarded to the leading NWOA club member in each BOF age class\, M/W10 – M/W85\, together with a trophy for those on Men’s and Women’s Open courses. Only NWOA club members are eligible for prizes.\n\n\nHorwich Festival of Racing:\nFestival prizes will not be awarded this year since medals will go to NWOA Sprint Champions. \nThere is still chance to enter the Festival road or cycling races for those with energy and time\, or simply to watch the road races\, cycle races\, unicycle race\, triathlon and fun runs. DESCRIPTION:SELOC are hosting the 4th event in the NWNL series at Lever Park\, Horwich \nLocation and Parking:  \nRegistration and parking is at the bottom end of the lane that leads up to Rivington Hall and Barn. This lane is accessed opposite Great House Barn (the venue for the daytime event). This will be signed off Rivington Lane. There is plenty of parking on the lane. \nNearest address: Great House Barn\, Rivington Lane\, Rivington\, BL6 7SB \nGrid reference: SD 629 139 \nUnfortunately there are no facilities \nRegistration:  1730-1830 \nOpen start times: 1800-1900\, courses close at 2030. Start/finish are both within 100m of registration/parking. \nEntry Fees: Seniors £6 (£7 non-BOF members)\, Juniors £3. Entry on the day only. \nSI card hire is free (£30 charge for lost cards) \nCourses: Orange 3.0km\, Green 5.1km\, Blue 6.7km (very little climb) \nTerrain: mixture of runnable deciduous woodland with areas of thicker vegetation and fairly extensive path network throughout much of the area. \nSafety:\n \nWhistle and backup light are compulsory \nWaterproof jackets may be compulsory in the event of bad weather \nYou must report to download before 2030\, even if you retire \nAll courses cross the road through Lever Park twice. The road crossings will not be marshalled. There will be very little traffic but what there is can be fast moving – please take care.

Come and explore the (relative!?) tranquility of these woods nestled in the leafy suburbs of Salford – either side of the M60.  Don’t believe me – then google “Worsley woods images” yourself! \n \nWhere \nWe will be meeting at Beesley Green\, just off Greenleach Lane\, near the junction with Lumber Lane\, in Roe Green.
