Event 10 in this year’s Saturday series will take place on Saturday 2nd November 2019 at Nuttall Park in Ramsbottom.

These local Saturday afternoon events are ideal for newcomers to the sport, as well as offering a technical course for more established orienteers. There will be experienced members of the club on hand to help newcomers get started and learn the ropes.

Registration, start and finish will be just outside the “Base” cafe adjacent to the car park.

Please note that the cafe will be closed from 12.45pm for a private party – but this will not affect the orienteering.

Registration: 1130-1330

Starts: 1200-1400.

Entry Fee:  £4 for adults, £2 juniors, SI card hire is free (though there is a charge for lost cards)

As usual, there will a choice of three courses:

• Yellow (ideal for newcomers and younger juniors)
• Orange (slightly longer and slightly more tricky navigation, ideal for older juniors and adults new to the sport)
• Norwegian (offering more navigational challenge and something a little different – at each control you are shown a small section of the map with only your next control on it)
