Light Green Control Descriptions

The third park event of this year will be at Clifton Country Park, Salford. Running in a  midweek slot, during half term, this event provides the ideal opportunity to get the kids out of the house and run off that energy. Alternatively, it’s great for a midweek orienteering challenge around the park.

Parking: There is a car park at the entrance to the park. If this is full, please park responsibly on local streets off Manchester Road. As you arrive at the park, please approach the railway tunnel with caution, it is only wide enough for one car to pass through.

Terrain: A mixture of formal park, open grassland and mature woodland.

Facilities: We are hopeful that the Cafe and toilets will be open. More details just prior to the event.

Timings: Starts from 1600-1900. Courses close 2000.

Start: The start will be adjacent to the play area, situated close to and north east to the car park.

Courses: 

Light Green (approx 4-5 km)

Orange (approx 3-3.5 km)

Yellow (approx 2-2.5 km)

Entries and Fees:

Due to Covid restrictions, we are limited to the number of entries allowed. All competitors must pre-enter via Fabian4.

Unfortunately we cannot allow any Entry on the Day. This event is open to newcomers, please enter via the Fabian4 platform.

Senior £5.00, Junior £2.50. SI card hire £0.50

A first aid kit will be available but competitors should try to treat any injuries themselves with guidance from a first aider if necessary.
