Event 11 in this year’s Saturday series will take place on Saturday 16th November 2019 at Burrs Country Park in Bury.

These local Saturday afternoon events are ideal for newcomers to the sport, as well as offering a technical course for more established orienteers. There will be experienced members of the club on hand to help newcomers get started and learn the ropes.

From A58 approx 0.5km west of Bury town centre take B6213 for Tottington then after 200m follow signs to Burrs C.P. and take B6214 to Ramsbottom then after another 200m turn onto Woodhill Road and follow for 1.3km to car park. Then follow signs to Registration which will be near the Lamppost Cafe.

Registration: 1130-1330

Starts: 1200-1400.

Entry Fee:  £4 for adults, £2 juniors, SI card hire is free (though there is a charge for lost cards)

As usual, there will a choice of three courses:

• Yellow (ideal for newcomers and younger juniors)
• Orange (slightly longer and slightly more tricky navigation, ideal for older juniors and adults new to the sport)
• Technical (offering more navigational challenge for the more experienced orienteer)
