Horwich Festival of Racing – 17 June 2018
We very much hope everyone enjoyed the orienteering yesterday as well as witnessing some of the other sporting activity of the Horwich Festival of Racing – including the unicycle race!
We are still hoping to have Winsplits and RouteGadget available later in the day.
There is an awful lot of work goes in to putting on this race as you can imagine – combing the two sprint races in two venues and liaising with the wider Horwich Festival of Racing. Steve Round did an extraordinary amount of work overseeing the whole development of the races. Dean Thetford planned the prologue at Lever Park, Pete Kidd the final in Horwich. Thanks to Ian Gilliver (MDOC) for controlling, Mark Sammon for map printing and Steve Wilson on all things IT.
Our next (very) major event will be the Liverpool Big Weekend with DEE – a weekend of orienteering on Formby Dunes (Saturday 6th October) and Liverpool University (Sunday 7th October).
