South East Lancashire Orienteering Club is pleased to announce an exciting project in association with Bolton Age UK to get more people aged 55+ active.
The project sees a number of introductory orienteering activities taking place across three parks in Bolton. The activities take place on Tuesday mornings between 10:30 to 12:00 and starts at Moss Bank Park on Tuesday 13th August. No experience is required as full support, training and advice available on the day. People can take part on their own or walk around in groups of friends or family,
Why not bring the grandkids and explore the great parks Bolton has to offer. Start anytime between the times stated.
As seasoned members will know, orienteering is an excellent way to get active in mind & body whether you want to run or walk. We want to appeal to those who may not have considered orienteering as a way to keep active in a relaxed, fun environment, whilst visiting parks across Bolton and chatting about how orienteering has had a positive impact on members of the years.
We have some easy to pick up routes planned, to gently ease new people into understanding the maps, along with some extra bits along the way to chat about, all will be revealed.
All the dates are below; if you know anyone who could be interested please let them know and encourage them to come along.
